Dabke Workshop – Cultural Learning & Artistic Expression

Each monday we will meet at PLAC at 7.pm. We will gain knowledge about Palestinian cultural identity and learn to move to the rhythm of dabke, an indigenous folkloric dance native to the Levant.

Our teacher and mentor is Hala from Palestine. She is an experienced dabke dancer/folklorist and a rich source of knowledge about the importance of dabke, as a cultural practice as well as an expression of love and resistance.
